Student Sustenance
Nutrition and Menus
At Elevated Futures Education, we recognise that nutritional intake is a primary vehicle for physiological regulation and cognitive engagement. For a neuro, affirming sanctuary to remain effective, our environment must be supported by slow, release energy and sensory, neutral dining experiences that prioritise the wellbeing of every student.
Healthy Packed Lunch
All students are expected to bring their own healthy packed lunch to the provision each day. We encourage families to provide balanced options that support sustained focus, avoiding high, sugar items that can lead to rapid arousal shifts and cognitive fatigue.
Nutritional Standards
- • Whole, grain carbohydrates
- • Fresh protein sources
- • Fruit and vegetable portions
Free School Meals
Where a student is entitled to a free school meal, the school will provide a healthy and nutritious lunch on their behalf. We maintain the highest standards of equality and mutuality, ensuring that FSM provision is identical in quality to our recommended home, based standards.
Check FSM EligibilityCultural Days and Special Events
When the school are celebrating special events, such as Cultural Days, a special meals menu will be provided for parents and carers two weeks before the event. These themed menus allow our community to celebrate diversity through culinary exploration, ensuring that every cultural milestone is matched with a high, quality and sensory, appropriate dining experience.
Strict Nut, Free Sanctuary
To protect students and staff with life, threatening allergies, Elevated Futures Education is a strictly nut, free environment. Nut products are not permitted on the school site under any circumstances. We request that parents remain forensically vigilant when preparing lunches to ensure the safety of our entire clinical community.
The Hydration Baseline
Water for Regulation
Proper hydration is essential for maintaining a stable window of tolerance. Students are required to bring a refillable water bottle to school each day. We provide filtered water stations throughout the sanctuary to ensure that every student can manage their own physiological needs with autonomy.
