Welcome to Elevated Futures

Elevated Futures is the realisation of a career dedicated to championing strengths-based learning. Doreen Sinclair-McCollin, B.Ed (Hons), NPQH, NLP Diploma, is a qualified and experienced education leader, behaviour consultant, life coach, and advocate for children and parents.

As Founder and CEO of Elevated Minds CIC, Doreen has spent over 38 years working with young people and families, both in mainstream and alternative provision settings.

Under her leadership, this provision has been shaped to embody the DDP philosophy, drawing on Doreen’s deeply held conviction that every young person, regardless of background or prior challenge, can flourish when their strengths are recognised, nourished and given the opportunity to shine.

Driven by her own early experience of education exclusion in her family, she is committed to closing the gap between potential and performance, creating educational spaces where young people thrive with confidence, autonomy and purpose.

Her leadership style is marked by vision, compassion and unwavering determination to ensure that Elevated Futures is not simply a school but a transformative community, one that empowers young people, supports families, and changes lives.

Our Philosophy in Action

The "Elevation Arc" Explained

The diagram above is more than a graphic; it is the visual representation of our "why."

The "Old Path" (the flat, grey line) represents the journey of a pupil in a traditional, deficit-based system. Their progress is often stagnant, defined by a fixed IEP, low engagement, and a focus on "managing behaviour."

The "DDP Intervention" (the gold circle) is the catalyst for change. This is the moment we stop, listen, and, through our "Strengths-Finding" process, identify that pupil's unique "superpower." We shift the focus from "what's wrong" to "what are you great at?"

The "Elevation Arc" (the accelerating teal curve) is the result. By leveraging that "superpower" as the gateway to the curriculum, we create a new, upward path. Progress becomes dynamic, holistic goals are met, and pupils build the self-advocacy and confidence they need. This is how we achieve our mission: by elevating the future of every pupil.
